A Note for Anyone Who Feels Stuck.

I wish I could write this as someone who has figured life out. I can’t.

I’m still in a phase where some days feel heavier than they should. I still have moments when I know what I need to do, but I sit there anyway—overthinking, tired, frustrated, and unsure where to find the energy to move.

Sometimes I stay in bed longer than I should. Not because I am sleeping, but because getting up means having to face everything that has been sitting in my head. The things I have avoided. The things I should probably be doing. The questions about school, my future, the kind of person I am becoming, and whether I am even moving in the right direction.

It is strange because, from the outside, nothing may look that serious. People might see you walking around, replying to messages when you can, laughing at something, posting normally, or acting like you are okay. But there can still be a lot going on underneath.

There can be a version of you that feels tired all the time. A version of you that keeps isolating yourself because you do not know how to explain what is wrong without sounding dramatic or confusing. And sometimes, you do not even know what is wrong exactly. You just know that something in you has changed.

For me, the hardest part is knowing that I saw certain signs. I had feelings about things. I noticed moments that did not sit right with me. I had thoughts I kept pushing away because I did not want them to be true. I wanted things to work out. I wanted to believe that if I stayed patient enough, understanding enough, or quiet enough, things would somehow become better.

"Why did I allow myself to get to this point, especially when I saw all the bad signs?"

That question has been difficult to sit with. Not because I have an answer, but because I do not. Maybe I was scared of losing something. Maybe I did not want to start over. Maybe I thought I could handle it. Maybe I was trying to hold onto something familiar, even when it was slowly making me lose parts of myself.

I am still trying to understand myself, but if I am being honest, a big part of me believes everything that brought me here is my fault. I keep going back to the decisions I made, the signs I ignored, and the moments when I could have chosen differently.

Maybe that is why it is so hard to move forward. I do not just feel lost; I feel like I am the reason I got lost.

Being stuck can make you feel like you are watching your own life from a distance. You know there are things you need to do. You know you need to focus. You know your education matters. You know your future will not wait forever. But knowing all of that does not always make it easier to act.

Sometimes it makes it worse, because then you are not only tired or confused. You are also disappointed in yourself for being tired and confused.

You start comparing yourself to the version of you that you thought you would be by now. The one who had more direction. The one who was disciplined. The one who knew what they wanted and went after it. The one who did not let feelings get in the way of everything else.

But I am not that version of myself right now.

Right now, I am someone who overthinks too much. Someone who sometimes wants to stay in bed because it feels easier than being present. Someone who has been isolating himself even though being alone with his thoughts is not always helping. Someone who is trying to understand where the drive went.

Maybe that is what scares me the most—not knowing where my drive and purpose went.

There was a time when I could picture things more clearly. I had plans, or at least I had the energy to pretend I did. Now, I look ahead and it feels blurry. I think about my path, my education, the decisions I have made, and the decisions I still need to make, and I feel like I am standing in front of too many roads without knowing which one is mine.

Maybe some people have been there too. Maybe you have reached a point where you are not exactly giving up, but you are not really moving either. You are just existing from one day to the next, hoping something inside you changes. Hoping you wake up and suddenly feel like yourself again.

I do not have a clean lesson from this. I do not have five steps to fix your life. I am not writing this from the other side of anything.

I am writing this while I am still in it.

I do not know what comes next for me. I do not know when I will feel focused again, or when everything in my head will stop feeling so heavy. I do not know what direction I am supposed to take, and I do not know if I have already wasted too much time being stuck.

But this is where I am right now.

And if you are somewhere like this too, then maybe this is just a note to say that I understand more than I can explain.
